Meet the person behind the work

I fell in love with words from a very young age. I have always been an avid reader and a curious mind.

From 2000 to 2005, I studied Modern Languages and Literature at Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas — Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

In 2005, I began my professional career as an English-to-European Portuguese translator and subtitler. It was a real treat to begin my career path by subtitling some of my favourite shows, but soon I realised I wanted to diversify my services and explore other areas.

Video games, advertising, and entertainment were also very captivating to me. After all, I belong to the generation of 1980s kids who knew all the jingles by heart and were glued to the TV and radio.

Maybe because of that, I also decided to explore transcreation and copywriting, which really put my versatility to the test and was very fulfilling.

Over the last two decades, I have fully committed to my passion for languages. I developed literary and creative skills that have enabled me to collaborate with national and foreign brands and companies, helping them achieve their communication goals in European Portuguese.

In my spare time, I devote myself to finding great places to eat and describing my most memorable and delicious experiences in “Dentada”, my Substack.
